WHIP(Walks plus Hits per Inning Pitched) is an indicator for baseball pitchers. You can calculate WHIP by the following formula;
WHIP = (Hits + Walks) ÷ Pitching Innings
| WHIP | Evaluation |
|---|---|
| 1.00 or less | very good |
| 1.00 - 1.20 | good |
| 1.20 - 1.40 | average |
| 1.40 - 1.50 | bad |
| 1.50 or more | very bad |
