Okuizome is a weaning ceremony in Japan. This ceremony is usually held after 100 days of a new baby's birthday, but in some regions, held after 110 days or 120 days. It need not be exactly 100, a holiday near 100 days might be better so that many relatives and friends can join and celebrate.
In Japan, it is said that this ceremony is wishing the child will never worry about food.
